Children's Events

Third Floor Opening Soon!

Please note that the library will be closed on Friday, June 21st as we prepare and move our children’s collections to the newly renovated third floor.
We are excited to announce that the public will have access to the third floor starting Saturday, June 22nd. While the full makeover is not yet complete, the children’s collection will be available on the third floor, which is safe for public use. 
With this move, the basement will be empty as all children’s collections return to the third floor. 
Thank you for your patience and cooperation. We look forward to seeing you on our newly renovated kids' floor!

A New Library Experience is Underway!

Library patrons, please be aware that starting June 3rd, LMXAC is running a temporary offline system while we get an exciting upgrade to our library catalog! Here are a few things to keep in mind starting June 3rd:
  • All Library cards which were expiring in June have been renewed to July 1st, 2024.
  • No returns during offline period (June 3rd, 2024 through June 12th, 2024).
  • No Holds will be processed.
  • All items checkout will be in offline mode, which means you will not be able to see them on your account.
  • Due date for all checkouts will be June 20th, 2024 except Museum Passes.
  • We will ONLY be able to check out items if you have a LIBRARY CARD. We will not be able to look you up by your name or phone number.
  • From June 4th through June 19th, all LMxAC libraries will be marked as closed for services except offline checkout if you have a library card.
  • Starting May 30th, 2024, physical Museum passes will not be checked out out to your library card. Instead, we will be entering them physically at the desk when checked out and when returned. There will still be overdue fines if returned late or lost charges if misplaced.
  • There will be no incoming books from other libraries for holds.
