Monday, August 12th at 3pm - Arts & Cultural Center

Join our craft program to create beautiful and eco-friendly wildflower seed balls! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to transform recycled paper into colorful seed balls embedded with a mix of fall wildflower seeds. Perfect for greening your garden or gifting to friends, these paper bundles are easy to make and fun to use. Let’s spread some beauty and support our pollinators, one seed ball at a time! All materials provided.

Thursday, August 15th at 2pm - Elberon Branch Library

This month, we will be reading Solito by Javier Zamora, moderated by Michelle Servellon. This is a gripping and poignant memoir that chronicles the author's harrowing journey from El Salvador to the United States as a nine-year-old child. Traversing 4,000 miles across treacherous landscapes and facing countless dangers, Zamora's story sheds light on the resilience and determination of young migrants seeking a better life. Through vivid and heartfelt prose, he captures the fear, hope, and humanity of an unforgettable solo odyssey, offering readers a deeply personal perspective on the immigration experience.

Celebrate National Wellness Month by learning about Reiki with Kimberly Ward, Reiki Grand Master Teacher! Reiki is an energy technique that can promote relaxation and well-being. Enjoy an immersive sound bowl guided meditation with reiki touch. Please bring a yoga mat and wear comfortable clothing. Limited seating will be available for those who cannot lay on the floor. Space is limited to the first 25 who register. Plan to arrive early to park and place your mat. Doors open at 6:30pm and the program starts promptly at 7:00pm.
