Dear Distinguished Community Members, It is with profound gratitude that we mark a momentous transition in Plainsboro's leadership. Mayor Peter Cantu's unwavering dedication, visionary leadership and steadfast advocacy have transformed the Plainsboro Library into one of the region's finest. Under his stewardship, the library boasts the highest per-capita readership in the STELLA library consortium and welcomes 190K+ visitors annually. Mayor Cantu's impact extends beyond the physical structure; his service on the Library Board of Trustees has guided our institution's strategic direction with wisdom and vision. As we honor his legacy, we welcome new leardership: Committee Member Ed Yates as Mayor and Committee Member David Bander as Deputy Mayor, effective January 2nd. Their dedication to public service assures us of the continued growth of our library's mission. Looking ahead to 2025, we anticipate significant developments like the enhancement of Market Square Park and a comprehensive Strategic Planning process. With the township's support, the Plainsboro Library will remain a cornerstone of learning, connection, and discovery. We are committed to building on the strong foundation laid by Mayor Cantu while embracing the opportunities ahead under our new leadership. With appreciation and optimism, Darren Miguez Library Director |
