Join us on Tuesday, December 27 for a special Kwanzaa-themed program. Presenter Merna Ricks will be at the Main Library to discuss the history of Kwanzaa, delve into the meaning of the holiday, and talk about the ways it’s celebrated.
This will be a great opportunity to learn about the Nguzo Saba—the seven principles—that comprise the common philosophy of Kwanzaa. Ms. Ricks will also explain the different symbols of Kwanzaa and how families choose to observe.
This program will be a great introduction to Kwanzaa for young ones, and we encourage you to bring the family for an engaging time.
Space is limited so register soon to guarantee your spot.
