Hoopla is a full digital streaming service offered completely free through the Edison Public Library. In addition to borrowing eBooks and audiobooks, patrons can borrow movies, television shows, and music through Hoopla.

Kanopy

Kanopy is a free streaming service offered by the Edison Public Library. It has enriching films and thoughtful documentaries available to stream fully commercial free.

Pressreader

Newspapers and magazines are an important tool to keep up with current events and trends, but magazine subscriptions can get pricey. With Pressreader, our patrons have free access to over 7,000 periodicals from around the world in over 60 languages all from the convenience of a simple app.

Pronunciator

Need to learn a new language? The Edison Public Library has you covered. Pronunciator is a personalized language learning course with over 160 languages to learn, daily lessons for all skill levels, and citizenship preparation courses in both English and Spanish. Use Pronunciator on your smartphone, tablet, or computer at any time with the help of your library card.

LinkedIn Learning

LinkedIn simplified communication between colleagues and clients, and LinkedIn Learning is a library of video tutorials to enrich your professional skills. With courses in Data Analysis, Web Development, and Graphic Design, LinkedIn Learning will help you expand your knowledge base and become more attractive to potential employers. (Did we mention it’s free with your library card, too?) 

Creativebug

Similar to LinkedIn Learning, Creativebug offers thousands of video tutorials centered on different creative outlets. You can learn how to paint, crochet, and even decorate a cake from Creativebug’s easy-to-follow instructions.

Makerspace

Our Makerspace—available in the Main Library and North Edison Branches—offers different hands-on programs to learn how to create. Steeped in the values of S.T.E.A.M.---Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math—the Makerspace teaches different age levels how to express themselves creatively through Snap circuits, Bullet Journaling, and even building with LEGO bricks.

Programs

Each month, the Edison Public Library offers a variety of in-person and virtual programs to enrich the lives of our patrons. Whether it’s a program on organizing your home or giving advice on how to start a business, we schedule events that we feel will bring the most value to our patrons.

Computers and Wifi

Having a reliable computer available is important in today’s tech-centered society. That’s why the Edison Public Library offers computer use and Wifi access completely free.
