When it comes to job searching, unfortunately, discrimination still exists. And one form of discrimination that everyone would face at some point is ageism: the idea that you’re too old to do a particular job. This is exactly the topic that the Middlesex County Office of Career Opportunity is tackling in their next workshop, Combat Ageism in Your Job Search.
On Thursday, February 23 at 10:00am, MCOCO is presenting Dr. Amy Geffen, PhD to discuss the different ways ageism can affect your job search and how to counteract it. Dr. Geffen will talk about using online learning and technology to help the real you shine, what to include in—and leave out of—your resume and LinkedIn profile, and the best ways to answer interview questions.
With a PhD from New York University, Dr. Geffen is a career coach, educator, and author with over thirty years in industries such as finance, engineering, higher education, risk management, health, and the nonprofit sector.
This free workshop will be held on Thursday, February 23 at 10:00am via Zoom, and you can register on the Middlesex County website.
