March is Women’s History Month, and we at the Edison Public Library are celebrating the lives of extraordinary women through history. Alisa Dupuy will lead a session on “Female Spies of WWII” where she’ll discuss the brave women who risked their lives to help us through the war. Writers and creative types will also enjoy our "Author Talk with Deepti Paikray" which will give them a chance to discuss writing with a published author.
We’re also excited about New Jersey Makers Day, which is happening on March 24-26, so we have some great Makerspace events planned for March, including a series in conjunction with WeMake 4H for students in grades 5 through 10 to learn different aspects of coding like Web Design, Java, and C++.
National Nutrition Month is celebrated in March, and our “Nutrition Improvement with Patricia Kolesa MS, RDN” is perfect for those who want to eat better and concentrate on their health.
There’s even a couple of programs for the budding hobbyist. We’re offering two “Furniture Painting Demonstration with Lacey” sessions, during which Lacey will walk attendants through the proper use of brush strokes and teach them about stencils and other embellishments to spruce up that old furniture.
You can see a full list of all of March’s events here, and don’t forget to register on the Events page of our website.
