March 24-26 is NJ Makers Day, an annual event dedicated to the S.T.E.A.M. and maker culture. To mark the event, the Edison Public Library has teamed up with WeMake 4H, an organization dedicated to teaching kids different aspects of making, to offer a series of coding programs for tweens and young teens.
With three sessions and all, WeMake 4H will offer a crash course on different computer languages including Java, C++, and even web design.
The programs are open to students in grades 5 through 10. One session will be held at each of the branches of the Edison Public Library, and your teen or tween is able to sign up for any—or all—that they find interesting. Space is extremely limited, however, so be sure to sign up quickly.
Computers will not be available, so students must have a charged laptop with them in order to participate.
