Spring has sprung! April is here, and with it comes a brand new lineup of events.
We’re very much looking forward to National Library Week, which runs from April 23 to 29. During this week, we’ll be bringing our brand new Bookmobile around town before it officially goes back into service on May 1.
We also have some new programs from WeMake 4H, who hosted a few of last month’s Makers Day events. Later in the month, they'll be offering a program on 3D Design.
Programs at the Clara Barton Branch are picking up. The Clara Barton Knitting Circle meets every Thursday and is always looking for new members. If you enjoy knitting, crocheting, or needlework in general, swing by. There’s also a program focused on Clara Barton herself—actor Pat Jordan will bring the library’s namesake to life in Clara Barton: Angel of the Battlefield.
Deepti Paikray will be joining us on Zoom. Deepti had to cancel her appearance last month, but she’ll be making it up to us in April when she’ll discuss her career as a writer and her latest book, Stories at my Doorstep.
And for those who are looking to reduce their stress, Stanford professor Dr. Manish Saggar will be hosting a virtual program called Detox Your Mind through Meditation, where he will teach participants to implement a simple yet very powerful meditation technique that can be life changing.
You can see a full list of all of April’s events here, and don’t forget to register on the Events page of our website.
