The world we live in is a stressful place and there are many factors that can have a negative impact on our daily lives. And while many people undergo detoxes and cleanses to rid their bodies of harmful toxins, few seek to rid their minds of the negative thoughts and stresses that can be just as debilitating.
That’s why the Edison Public Library is hosting the program titled Detox Your Mind through Meditation.
Join Dr. Manish Saggar, assistant professor in the department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine, on Thursday, April 13 at 7:00PM for a virtual program that will explore the power of meditation. In this session, Dr. Saggar will teach participants how to implement a simple yet very powerful meditation technique that can be life changing.
Though this is a virtual program, it’s recommended to participate in a quiet area with no distractions. Find a nice, comfortable spot where you can follow Dr. Saggar’s instructions to befriend the mind, detoxify the negative thought patterns, and calm the body.
