Stress can be debilitating. Not only can it affect the mind—causing anxiety, depression, and irritability, but it can also wreak havoc on the body, leading to high blood pressure, digestive issues, and heart disease.

Managing stress often requires knowing where the stress comes from, how it affects us, and how to tell when we are stressed. But when we’re already dealing with so many issues in our day-to-day lives—like our jobs, family, and finances—dealing with the stress can often itself cause more stress.

Which is why the Middlesex County Office of Workforce Development and Career Opportunity is offering a free workshop on how to manage stress.

During Build UP Your Stress Armor, participants will learn from Rita Garnto how to go from Crappy to Happy through simple self-care. Rita will discuss ways to stave off stress that are simple and doable.

Rita Garnto has almost forty years of both Western and Eastern healthcare, combined with ample life experience that has earned her the title of Simple Self-Care Expert and Stress-Buster Extraordinaire. Her 2018 book, Simple Self-Care Saved Me!, gained an international following, and she has written a white paper on how using her copyrighted “simple self-care” can decrease the negative effects of stress overload. Rita’s goal is to provide advice that is relatable and practical, but also motivational, inspirational, and educational through her workshops, masterclass series, and seminars.

Build UP Your Stress Armor will take place on Wednesday, April 19th at 11:00 am via Zoom. Click here to register
