Thursday is May 4th, also known as Star Wars Day. Though it seems arbitrary that some random day in May is dedicated to one of the most popular science fiction franchises on the planet, it becomes clearer when you say the date as one particular phrase:
May the 4th Be With You
Spoken by Obi-Wan Kenobi in the original Star Wars film back in 1977, that phrase is meant to inspire the young Luke Skywalker as he believes in himself and his control of the Force.
So to celebrate Star Wars Day, make a stop by your local Edison Public Library branch and borrow one of these books that expand on the Star Wars universe and take your favorite characters on entirely new adventures.
And don’t forget to grab a “May the 4th Be With You” Take and Make to create your very own Baby Yoda! (While Supplies Last)
