DNA is the building blocks of life. It serves as an organism's blueprint, making it what it becomes and passing those genetic traits down the line to its successors. Now The Edison Public Library is offering a chance to explore the world of DNA and understand its importance with the help of WeMake 4H.

Starting on Thursday, we’re holding two sessions of Strawberry DNA Extraction Makerspace led by the folks at WeMake 4H. Elementary and middle school students will be able to play geneticist for a day and learn how to extract DNA from fruit and investigate how it looks and feels in a process similar to what scientists have to do before they can use the information contained in this DNA.

Seats for these programs are extremely limited so don't miss out on this unique opportunity to dive into the world of genetics!
