Different periods of English history tend to get blurred, but for how many similarities Jane Austen’s life in the Regency Era had to the time of Queen Victoria, they also had many differences.
Tea specialist Judith Krall-Russo will be at the Main Library on Saturday, July 22 to share what these periods had in common and highlight how different they were. She will talk about how tea, food, and fashion evolved from Austen’s time to the reign of Queen Victoria as well as explain how the Industrial Revolution impacted both eras.
Note: No food or drink will be served at this program.
Judith Krall–Russo is a certified Tea Specialist from The Tea School in Pomfret, Connecticut, and The Specialty Tea Institute of New York.
