It’s August, and though the end of summer is in sight, our Summer Reading is still going strong. If you haven’t yet, you can sign up for for the Summer Reading Challenge on our BeanStack.
We’ve got programs a-plenty for everyone of all ages, like our Dino Puppets programs happening at all three branches. You’ll learn all sorts of interesting dinosaur facts from Professor Al O'Saurus and his Prehistoric Puppet Pals.
Our friends from Talewise are back with Kindness Heroes: Sword in the Stone, an interactive retelling of King Arthur & the Sword in the Stone full of character-building activities that promote teamwork.
Jenkinson’s Aquarium will be on hand for two different programs, one that focuses on the life and fauna thriving in the New Jersey Pinelands and the other focusing on the plethora of invertebrates that live in our seas titled No Bones About It.
Speaking of the sea, All Together Now in the Reef presented by the Center for Aquatic Sciences will teach kids aged 5-11 all about the beautiful natural wonders that are reefs and how this biodiverse habitat works together to become a community that thrives.
For teens, we’re offering Learning through LEGO with Corey Samuels which teaches teens the basics of S.T.E.M. learning through building with LEGO bricks.
Hackensack Meridian Health is back for their rescheduled Managing Hypertension program. This is part of the Heart Health Series of programs offered by the organization aimed at keeping people healthy.
Our movie events are still occurring throughout August at the Clara Barton Branch. With two different themes—one for kids and one for adults—you can join us and your neighbors for a nice relaxing time in the Library watching movies. Click here for the full schedule.
