Jazz music is versatile, but there are quite a few standards that on which musicians throughout the years have put their own spin and made their own. Jazz guitarist Abe Ovadia will do just that at the Edison Public Library in the program Reimagining the American Songbook.
With his modern take on jazz standards, Abe will captivate audiences of all ages and backgrounds, bringing new life to classic tunes that have stood the test of time.
Abe will also delve into the process of improvisation and share insights on the creative and spontaneous nature of jazz music while exploring the genre’s rich history and evolution.
Attendees will also be asked to participate through questions, not only about jazz in general but also about Abe’s music and career.
This program will be held at both the Clara Barton and North Edison Branches, so sign up to reserve your spot.
