Join us on Wednesday, September 27 as we continue our celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month with a program focused on Latin American Cooking!
Viviana Portalatin, owner of Latin Port in Metuchen, NJ, will be at the Clara Barton Branch to give attendees a taste of their menu.
Program attendees will sample Mangu, a dish made from mashed green plantains, and two of the restaurants signature stews—coconut milk-based Brazilian Moqueca made with tofu and spicy Costa Rican Carne en Salsa made with portabella mushrooms. All of these dishes are vegan, but Portalatin will discuss the original version of these dishes, made with fish and beef.
Portalatin will also bring churros and a special Central American coffee for dessert.
Space for this program is limited, so register below to secure your seat!
