Navratri, the Hindu festival observed in honour of the goddess Durga, occurs this year from October 15 to October 24, and the Edison Public Library is helping patrons get into the celebration.
With the help of award-winning children's author Priya Kumari, we’ll be hosting three separate events at our branches to celebrate the holiday.
Attendees will get to strike a pose at a photo booth with playful props and costumes, decorate Dandiya sticks and learn Dandiya dance, or learn how to make coconut laddoos and sand rangolis.
These programs are aimed at children aged 5-11 and their caregivers. Registration is required, but space is limited so register quickly! |
