November has just started, but Diwali is fast approaching on November 12. The Edison Public Library will be observing the festival of lights with not one but two celebrations this year, both of them focused on crafts and storytelling thanks to award-winning children's author Priya Kumari.
The Diwali Magic programs happening on Saturday, November 4, will feature a variety of fun activities but the main attraction is a puppet show of epic Ramayana. Guests will also get the chance to make a puppet of their own.
On Saturday, November 18, take part in our Diwali Delights programs. Guests will get the chance to strike a pose at our fun Diwali photo booth, make diyas with modeling clay, and learn how to make coconut laddoos.
These programs are open to children ages 3-8. Space for these events is limited and we expect them to fill up quickly, so don’t hesitate to register to reserve your spot.
