The Makerspace at the Edison Public Library is all about creating. Whether that’s designing a 3D character for use in your favorite table-top game or making holiday ornaments, we want our patrons to explore their creativity.

All are welcome to come in and try any of our sessions, and we have something for every age group. The best thing is there’s no commitment to any of our programs if you decide that something isn’t right for you.

If there is a topic or craft you’d like to see offered in the Makerspace, let any of our librarians know. We’re always open to new ideas and suggestions.

Here’s what’s happening in our Makerspace in November.

Monster Factory for Teens

Tuesday, November 14

North Edison Branch

Create your own 3D characters! Make the worst monster ever or your own DnD character.

For ages 12 and up.

Please bring your own charged laptop.

Coloring Happy for Adults
(In-Person)
Wednesday, November 15
6:00-7:00pm
Main Library

Let your inner child shine and color to your heart's content. Use crayons or markers to color in simple or complicated coloring pages.

For adults only.

Patrons can bring in their own art supplies.

Teen Makerspace: Snap Circuits

Main Library

Join us for a safe and fun way to design exciting projects by using building components with snaps to assemble electronic circuits.

Supplies will be provided.

Thanksgiving Wreath for Kids
(In-Person)

Make your own Thanksgiving decoration!

Come and get crafty and make a Thanksgiving decoration! We'll be using colorful paper, scissors, and glue to create a unique wreath to display what you're thankful for.

Ages 5 and up. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.

Button Maker for Teens

Come and make your own buttons! Decorate your backpack or create matching buttons for you and your bestie.

Bring your own pictures or draw your own custom picture.

Paint with Diamonds for Adults

Diamond Painting is a craft hobby that's a mix between Paint By Numbers and Cross Stitch. Diamond rhinestone gems are attached to an adhesive covered canvas following a pixel color chart.
