November may be halfway over, but there’s still plenty of time to wish these November-born authors a happy birthday.

These birthdays are of authors who span a great number of genres. Whether you’re a fan of science fiction, fantasy, horror, or character-driven historical fiction, there’s bound to be something you enjoy in the list below.

So many great authors were born in November that it was difficult to whittle the list down to just these twelve. In addition to those we have here, November saw the birth of Robert Louis Stevenson (November 13, 1850) who wrote Treasure Island and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Louisa May Alcott (November 29, 1832) who wrote Little Women, and Mark Twain (November 30, 1835), author of Huckleberry Finn.

No matter what genre you enjoy, we encourage you to check out one (or more!) of these great authors’ works from your local Edison Public Library branch.
