The holiday season is full of stress that can have a negative impact on our daily lives and our bodies. Many people spend hundreds of dollars on massages and spas to find a way to relax and release the stree, but there could be a far simpler—and less expensive—way to rid ourselves of these negative thoughts and stressors.

That’s why the Edison Public Library is hosting Reducing Stress Through Meditation this Holiday Season.

Join Umesh Bhatia, a long-time meditator, on Thursday, December 14 at 7:00pm for a virtual program that will explore the extraordinary effect of meditation to reduce stress-related responses, improve concentration, and enhance clarity of thought and mental equilibrium. He will also present a simple, time-tested, ancient, and effective meditation technique. There will be a short meditation sitting as well.

Though this is a virtual program, it’s recommended to participate in a quiet area with no distractions. Find a nice, comfortable spot where you can follow Umesh’s instructions to befriend the mind, banish the negative thought patterns, and calm the body.
