The Edison Public Library wishes all of our patrons a safe and merry Christmas, and to remind you that we will be closed in observance of the holiday today and tomorrow, December 25 & 26.

Even though you won’t be able to get into our buildings on those days, you can still access our digital services from your computer, tablet, or cell phone.

Here are just a handful of the digital services available to our patrons:

eLibrary NJ & Libby

Book lovers and Library card holders have access to an additional collection of popular ebooks, audiobooks, and videos, all of which can be accessed through the free Libby app (available on App Store and Google Play).

Hoopla

Hoopla is a full digital streaming service offered completely free through the Edison Public Library. In addition to borrowing eBooks and audiobooks, patrons can borrow movies, television shows, and music through Hoopla.

Kanopy

Kanopy is a free streaming service offered by the Edison Public Library. It has enriching films and thoughtful documentaries available to stream fully commercial free.

LinkedIn Learning

LinkedIn Learning is a library of video tutorials to enrich your professional skills. With courses in Data Analysis, Web Development, and Graphic Design, LinkedIn Learning will help you expand your knowledge base and become more attractive to potential employers.

Creativebug

Similar to LinkedIn Learning, Creativebug offers thousands of video tutorials centered on different creative outlets. You can learn how to paint, crochet, and even decorate a cake from Creativebug’s easy-to-follow instructions.

Pressreader

Newspapers and magazines are an important tool to keep up with current events and trends, but magazine subscriptions can get pricey. With Pressreader, our patrons have free access to over 7,000 periodicals from around the world in over 60 languages all from the convenience of a simple app.

Learning Express Hub

This site offers college admissions test preparation, including ACT, SAT, and AP plus other skill-building resources for classroom and homework success.

The Friends of the Edison Public Library is looking to expand its membership. As a member of the Friends of the Edison Public Library, you can:

  • Volunteer for fundraising activities
  • Advocate for the library and its services
  • Just show your support for the library through your membership or donation
