January 13th is Korean American Day, so to recognize the holiday, we’ve invited the Mobile Family Success Center of Middlesex County to do a fun kids craft with us!

On Tuesday, January 9, children ages 5 through 11 are welcome to come to the North Edison Branch to make a sogo. Sogo—which means small drum—is a double-headed, hand-held drum played with a beater. These drums are typically decorated with a tri-color roundel called a taegeuk which symbolizes yin-yang

Korean American Day commemorates the arduous journey Koreans undertook to emigrate to American and recognizes the achievements and contributions Korean Americans have made to American culture.

The Friends of the Edison Public Library is looking to expand its membership. As a member of the Friends of the Edison Public Library, you can:

• Volunteer for fundraising activities
• Advocate for the library and its services
• Just show your support for the library through your membership or donation
