Back in October, an annular solar eclipse was visible through North, Central, and South America. In April, a total solar eclipse will be visible in the United States as well as parts of Mexico and Canada. But what is an eclipse and why do we track them so closely?
An ambassador from NASA will be joining us on Friday, January 19, and Saturday, January 20, to discuss these cosmic events and what makes them so significant. Arjun will explain the difference between solar and lunar eclipses and what occurs to create each one.
This program will be held at the Clara Barton Branch on Friday and the Main Library on Saturday, so be sure to register for the location most convenient for you.
