On April 8, the next total solar eclipse will be visible along North America. This wondrous celestial event is a sight to behold, however, looking directly into an eclipse is damaging to the eyes.
If you want to look at the eclipse, the Edison Public Library has you covered.
Patrons with a valid Edison Public Library card can get eclipse glasses from the Bookmobile at its various stops starting on March 25. Then on April 1, the Library branches—the Main Library, North Edison Branch, and Clara Barton Branch—will also be giving glasses out to patrons who come in and request them.
Due to the limited number of glasses available, we will only be giving one pair of glasses per family per Library card account. Glasses will be given out on a first come, first served basis, and once they are gone, we cannot accommodate future requests.
