Stop by the Main Library on Tuesday, April 9 for a presentation of photos and information commemorating 95 years of Edison Township and the Edison Public Library.
Back in 1929, Edison was known as Raritan Township and was mostly a rural community with neighborhoods beginning in different sections of the town. To serve the needs of the people of the Township, residents established a library that has since grown from one room to three branches and a bookmobile serving Edison’s 100,000 residents.
The hour-long presentation, which is open to adults, will be presented by Walter R. Stochel Jr. of the Metuchen-Edison Historical Society. Registration is recommended.
