Earth Day, celebrated annually on April 22, is more than just planting trees, picking up litter, and reducing plastic production. It’s an annual celebration that honors the achievements of the environmental movement while raising awareness of the need to protect our planet’s natural resources for future generations.
This year, the Edison Public Library will celebrate Earth Day with a Teen Garden and Gather event at the North Edison Branch on Wednesday, April 24. Don’t have experience or a green thumb? No problem. The program will focus on organic oyster mushrooms which are easy to grow and can be harvested in just 10 days.
Stop by for this 3:15pm event and then watch day-by-day as your mushroom grows. Together we will grow our own mini mushroom garden!
