The Main Library will be closed on Thursday, May 9, and
Friday, May 10, in preparation for our upcoming remodel. Hours at the North Edison and Clara Barton Branches will NOT be affected.

These days, so many things are vying for our attention and causing stress and anxiety -  but meditation, a practice that involves focusing or clearing your mind using a combination of mental and physical techniques, can help.

Join Clare Vidich for the virtual program Coping in the World We Live in Through Meditation on Wednesday, May 8 at 7:00pm. Program participants will learn about the benefits of meditation to help reclaim peace of mind as well as have the opportunity to practice meditation techniques.

Clare Vidich, a retired Montessori school teacher with over 40 years of meditation experience, has lectured nationally on the topic of meditation and was a speaker at a Global Conference on Spirituality in 2007 and 2009 in Delhi, India. She has conducted meditation classes at the adult education, college, high school, grade school, and preschool levels as well as served on the Integrative Health Committee at Windham Hospital where she has also led meditations for hospital staff.
