B.A.B.E.S. is a nationally recognized curriculum and primary prevention program that uses animal puppets combined with storytelling, music, and activities to engage students in discussion and teach positive life skills to help build a healthy and happy life. Led by Candy Varroney, a Certified Prevention Specialist with the Edison Municipal Alliance, B.A.B.E.S. will cover topics such as self-image, healthy decision-making, coping skills, development of positive life skills to resist peer pressure, alcohol & other drugs, and a brief introduction to good touch and bad touch.
The six-week program will be offered every Wednesday from June 26 through July 31 at the Main Library from 9:30am to 11:00am and at the Clara Barton Branch from 11:30am to 1:00pm.
Space is limited to 12 children and registration, which runs through June 22 or until the program is filled, is for all six, 90-minute sessions; if unable to attend all sessions, please cancel prior to June 22 so that someone on the Waiting List may attend.
