Children in pre-K through second grade are invited to join us at 2:00pm Tuesday, July 9 for a virtual visit with Newbery Medal-winning author Kate DiCamillo

DiCamillo is the author of more than 30 children’s books, including the early chapter book series, Mercy Watson, and the follow-up series, Tales from Deckawoo Drive. She served as the 2014-2015 National Ambassador for Young People's Literature, appointed by the Library of Congress. Additionally, several of her books have been turned into movies, and one was even adapted as an opera.

During this online program, DiCamillo will share stories behind her creation of Mercy Watson, everyone’s favorite adventure-loving pig, and discuss publication of the final book in the Mercy Watson series.

Register now to attend and learn more about DiCamillo and, of course, Mercy Watson.
