Italy meets France at a live cooking demo set to take place at the Clara Barton Branch. Join us and Library Chef’s very own Chef Teey on Tuesday, July 30 for a demonstration on how to make cannoli crepes.
Crepes are a French favorite made from unleavened batter or dough cooked on a frying pan or griddle that are often served with fillings, including cheese, fruit, veggies, meats, and more while cannoli, which originated in Italy, are tube-shaped, fried pastry shells stuffed with sweet creamy filling.
Attendees at the 6:30pm program will learn the tricks to whipping up these rich yet light summer desserts as well as have the opportunity to sample the creations. Patrons will also go home with a recipe and confidence to make them at home.
Participation is free and open to adults, however space is limited.
