The 2022 biographical musical drama I Wanna Dance With Somebody focuses on the American pop icon Whitney Houston (1962-2012). Aptly titled after Houston’s 1987 chart-topper of the same name, the film, starring Naomi Ackie and Stanley Tucci, follows the personal life and musical career of the New Jersey native who went on to become one of the most influential R&B vocalists and best-selling artists of all time.
Book Club is a 2018 romantic comedy starring Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen, and Mary Steenburgen as four friends, each in a different romantic place in their lives, who subsequently begin to change how they view their personal relationships after reading Fifty Shades of Grey. Intrigued by its content, the women see it as a wake-up call and set out to expand their lives and pursue pleasures that have eluded them. |
