Diane Dimond, investigative journalist and author of We’re Here to Help: When Guardianship Goes Wrong, will host a book discussion at the North Edison Branch on Tuesday, September 24.
A guardianship or conservatorship is a legal arrangement where a court appoints a person or organization to make decisions for someone who is unable to do so themselves, whether it be due to age or disability. We’re Here to Help is a culmination of more than eight years of research through which Dimond offers an in-depth look into a state-run system that has become ‘largely unregulated, ill-understood, and increasingly populated by financially motivated predators.’
Register now for the 6:30pm program to learn more about guardianships and ways to safeguard yourself and loved ones. Copies of We’re Here to Help: When Guardianship Goes Wrong will be available for purchase.
