The Friends of the Edison Public Library will be holding their Book & Bake Sale on October 25 & 26 and they need your donations! Visit edisonpubliclibrary.org/friends for details.

Each year, the MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival receives in excess of 1,800 film entries from all over the world but only 10 of these films—each 18 minutes in duration or less—are selected as finalists and screened at participating libraries, cinemas, cultural centers, and other venues.

Edison Public Library patrons will have the chance to not only watch this year’s international short film finalists with showings at all three branches but they will also play an integral part in deciding the winner.

Head over for showings of this year’s finalists—The Talent (UK), I'm Not a Robot (The Netherlands), Mother (Ukraine), Dovecote (Italy), Pathological (USA), Alarms (France), Favourites (Australia), The Man Who Could Not Remain Silent (Croatia), Room Taken (Ireland), and Jane Austen's Period Drama (USA)—and then cast your vote for favorite film and actor.

With past festival finalists going on to be nominated and win Academy Awards (1999, 2007, and 2015) in the short film category, MANHATTAN SHORT is, quite simply, a collection of some of the best short films currently screening in the world today.

For ages 14 to adult. Registration is not required but seating is limited to 30 at each location.
