International Chef Day is celebrated annually on October 20 as a way to pay tribute to the art and science of cooking. Introduced by the late chef Dr. Bill Gallagher in 2004, this day serves as a platform to honor the contributions of chefs across the globe and their dedication to their craft.

In honor of International Chef Day 2024, celebrate by making an old family recipe or check out a cooking demo—including those available through the Edison Public Library’s partnership with LibraryChef. You can also learn how you, too, can be a culinary master from some of these best-selling celebrity chefs!
