Despite being the organizer of the 1963 March on Washington—the largest civil rights protest of its time—the efforts of civil rights activist and LGBTQ+ icon Bayard Rustin were largely unrecognized until recently.
Join the Edison Public Library in celebrating the life of Rustin at a screening of the 2003 documentary Brother Outsider taking place at the Main Library on Thursday, March 13. The program will also include a question-and-answer session with a staff member from the Princeton-based Bayard Rustin Center for Social Justice.
