Stop by the Edison Public Library’s Clara Barton Branch or catch up with the Bookmobile to borrow one of the new STEM kits now available exclusively to cardholders.
Through a new service, which aligns with the Library's mission to provide educational resources that enhance one’s learning experience, the kits are designed to engage young learners in the world of STEM—science, technology, engineering, and math—through hands-on activities that spark curiosity, foster critical thinking, and make learning fun.
Currently, 10 different STEM kits in a variety of engaging topics, including All About Dinosaurs and All About Magnets as well as Castles and Dragons, Electronics, Coding & Bots, and Night Sky. Additionally, an Everyday Science kit, an Explore Circuits kit, a Girls in Engineering kit, a Math Games kit, and a Green Energy kit are also among those being offered.
The STEM kits are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Clara Barton Branch and through the Bookmobile with the goal to increase accessibility to more Edison residents. They may be borrowed with an adult Edison Public Library card for a two-week period. Cardholders are responsible for returning the kits in the condition received; failure to do so will result in a total replacement fee.
