Pre-K through second graders are invited to join author and illustrator Raúl The Third on Tuesday, July 8, for a discussion and draw-along.
During the virtual program, which will be offered at 2:00pm in Spanish and at 4:00pm in English, young patrons will have the opportunity to learn more about Raúl the Third’s new book, ¡Vamos! Let’s Go Read!, along with the opportunity to explore their world through a creative lens.
¡Vamos! Let’s Go Read! centers around Little Lobo and friends as they explore their library's Libro Love Book Festival! From cookbook demonstrations and comics workshops to mask making and language classes, this library has something for everyone, and Little Lobo can’t wait to show you.
Raúl The Third is a New York Times-bestselling and three-time Pura Belpre award-winning illustrator, author, and artist living in Boston who uses his culture, experiences, and memories growing up in the United States and on the Mexico border to inspire his art and his storytelling. He is currently adapting his World of Vamos! books into an animated television series with Silvergate Media and Mercury Filmworks
Register for the preferred format and submit questions for the author at the links below, and don’t forget to have paper and drawing supplies with you for the program.
