The Edison Public Library will welcome back performer Dr. Diane Cypkin, Ph.D., along with pianist Lena Panfilova, for a concert lecture celebrating Yiddish theatre.
Head over to the Main Library on Sunday, July 27, for an event featuring music and history of a bygone era whose effects are still felt today.
During the 2:00pm concert, Dr. Cypkin, a native Yiddish speaker, will perform songs made famous by Molly Picon, Chaim Tauber, Isadore Lillian, and Aaron Lebedeff as well as discuss how these performers and their music earned a permanent place in Yiddish theater—and our hearts—forever.
