Every great story comes alive through its characters and, in honor of National Novel Writing Month, the Edison Public Library is teaming up with Cosmic Writers to host two different grade-appropriate workshops at the Main Library on Tuesday, November 18.

Becoming the Bad Guy, a writing workshop geared toward patrons in 6th through 8th grade, will take place at 3:00pm and provide participants the opportunity to create their very own “bad guy” characters and drop them into various villainous situations.

The Main Character Factory workshop will be held at 5:00pm and offer students in kindergarten through second grade the chance to invent vivid characters—complete with thoughts, feelings, and goals—to bring their stories to life.

Tumble Book Library

Online database of eBooks and educator resources. They offer a selection of Graphic Novels, Enhanced Novels, eBooks, classic literature, National Geographic videos, educator resources, puzzles and games, and audiobooks.

ACCESS

The Edison Public Library now offers museum passes to adult patrons with a valid library card and photo ID. These passes allow either a free admission or a special discount access to museums across New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.

Passes are available for pickup in-person only at the circulation desk at the specified Library branch.
