Dear Edison Community Member,

This past year has been one of great progress and improvement for the Edison Public Library

As we prepare for the reopening of the Main Library in January and the North Edison Branch during the summer of 2026, we are also looking toward the future, including updating our Clara Barton Branch and replacing our aging Bookmobile.

On this Giving Tuesday—a day dedicated to giving back—we ask you to consider a contribution to the Edison Public Library Foundation. Your donation, no matter the size, will make a tangible impact in reaching our goal to raise $10,000 by the end of the year.

Through your generosity, we are able to provide exceptional programs and resources beyond what our budget allows, strengthening the Library as the cornerstone of our community.

Your gift can transform our Library services in many ways:
  • $25 can "Buy a Book for Edison Public Library," adding a new title to our collection
  • $50 provides an electronic ebook for our digital collection, making reading more accessible for everyone
  • $100 supports a one-hour program of Chair Yoga or Tai Chi for older adults, promoting health and wellness
  • $250 can sponsor a guest lecturer, bringing new perspectives and ideas to our community·
  • $500 funds a musical program for all ages, filling our library with the joy of music.
As a 501(c)(3) organization, contributions to the Edison Public Library Foundation are tax deductible to the extent of the law, and your gift today will bring us one step closer to shaping the future of your Library. Please click here to donate or send a check, payable to the Edison Public Library Foundation, to 340 Plainfield Avenue, Edison, NJ 08817.

We know you have many options, and we are grateful for your continued support.

With sincere thanks,
Allan M. Kleiman, MLS
Director, Edison Public Library

Reading to your child has been scientifically shown to have numerous benefits, and the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten was designed to incentivize parents to give their children a head start.

Signing up for 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten is easy to do through our Beanstack program, which also allows you to track the books you’ve read. For every 100 books, parents can earn a virtual badge and also claim a prize from their local Edison Public Library branch.
