Metuchen author Mary Ann McGuigan will host a reading from her new story collection That Very Place, followed by a candid talk about building a literary career later in life, at the Main Library on Saturday, December 13, at 2:00pm.
During the hour-long program, McGuigan, a National Book Award nominee who published her first novel at the age of 45 and went on to release multiple story collections in her 60s and 70s, will share the challenges, surprises, and rewards of her mid-life writing journey.
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear an excerpt from That Very Place, ask questions, and enter a raffle to win a copy of That Very Place as well as McGuigan's book Pieces: A Novel in Stories.
Come join us and learn firsthand from McGuigan why it is never too late to pursue your dreams!
