Hanukkah runs from December 14 through December 22 this year and Edison Public Library patrons interested in learning more about how it is celebrated in different countries and cultures are invited to attend an informative program taking place on Monday, December 15, at 6:00pm.
The Hanukkah Around the World program will be held at the Main Library and our friends from the Jewish Community Center of Middlesex County will be here to discuss how the holiday is observed throughout different sects of Judaism (Sephardic, Ashkenazi) and in such countries as Israel and Ethiopia.
Varied artifacts and books will also be on display and Ethiopian/Israeli writer and director Hava Tizazu will share personal stories about how her family celebrated.
