Teens and tweens, come discover how rockets work at the Edison Public Library’s Dive Into Rockets with Team Mach LightSpeed program taking place at 1:00pm on Saturday, December 20
 
Discover what rocketry is through interactive activities, gain an understanding of the basics of rockets and their purpose, and learn about the American Rocketry Challenge as well as Rockets4Schools competitions and how to be a part of a rocketry team!
 
Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet members of Team Mach Lightspeed, a local high school rocketry team that is competing in the American Rocketry Challenge. The world’s largest rocket contest with nearly 5,000 students nationwide competing each year, the Challenge offers middle and high school students the opportunity to design, build and launch model rockets and hands-on experience solving engineering problems. 
 
Open to patrons ages 8 to 16 and their parents/guardians. Registration is not required.
