The Edison Public Library offers cardholders access to a wide variety of digital resources, providing patrons the ability to stream movies and music, borrow eBooks and audiobooks, and develop personal and professional skills. 
 
Through platforms such as ShemarooMe, a streaming service offering a variety of captivating South Asian content, patrons are provided 14-day access to three different tiers of programs. 
 
ShemarooMe boasts acclaimed Gujarati movies, popular Punjabi content, and a large collection of new and classic Telugu movies as well as offers as Kids plan featuring various animated and age-appropriate series;  rhymes in different languages, including Hindi, Gujarati, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada; and favorites such as Bal Ganesh, Ghatothkach, and Tales of Akbar.
 
ShemarooMe and all it has to offer can be accessed through the Digital Library menu on our website and selecting Databases from the drop-down menu. To learn more, to to sign up for an Edison Public Library card to access these services, stop into your local branch.

ACCESS

Reading to your child has been scientifically shown to have numerous benefits, and the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten was designed to incentivize parents to give their children a head start.
 
Signing up for 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten is easy to do through our Beanstack program, which also allows you to track the books you’ve read. For every 100 books, parents can earn a virtual badge and also claim a prize from their local Edison Public Library branch.
