If reading more is top on your 2026 resolution list, why not get a jump start and join the Edison Public Library’s in-person Bookies Book Club!
Each month, the Main Library will serve as the host site for a discussion about a different fiction or non-fiction title. All bookies are invited to share their thoughts during hour-long discussions, which will take place on the last Tuesday of the month at 1:30pm, unless otherwise noted.
On December 30, we will gather to chat about The Personal Librarian, a novel by New York Times-bestselling authors Marie Benedict and Victoria Christopher Murray about Belle da Costa Greene, J. P. Morgan’s personal librarian and the Black American woman who was forced to hide her true identity and pass as white in order to leave a lasting legacy that enriched our nation.
On January 27, Bookies are invited to join in the discussion centered around In Amy Griffin: The Tell of Her Life, a biography through which bestselling author Dorian Ashveil takes readers behind the headlines, revealing the raw, unfiltered story a woman who redefined not just her life, but the very meaning of success.
On February 24, we will be reading and talking about Ward D, a 2023 psychological thriller by bestselling author Frieda McFadden and, on March 31, the book will be Here One Moment by Liane Moriarty, the beloved author of Big Little Lies, Apples Never Fall, and The Husband’s Secret.
The Bookies Book Club sessions are open to adult readers ages 18 and older. Registration is required.
