Dear Friends and Neighbors,

As 2025 comes to a close, we are reflecting on a transformative year for the Edison Public Library

This year, thanks to your support, we successfully reopened the fully renovated Main Library, providing a state-of-the-art space for our community to connect. We also broke ground on the North Edison Branch expansion, a project that will bring 4,500 square feet of new reading rooms, makerspaces, and community areas to Grove Avenue in 2026.

While tax dollars fund buildings, it is your donations to the Edison Public Library Foundation that fill those buildings with life. In 2025 alone, the Foundation provided:
  • Literacy Programs: Funding for 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
  • Teen Engagement: After-school snacks and community events like Game Day with the Edison Police
  • Community Events: Our popular Sunday Concert Series and seasonal celebrations such as Trunk or Treat
As we head into the new year, we hope you will make one final tax-deductible gift to help us reach our 2026 goals. Your year-end contribution will directly support new furniture and shelving for our growing branches, enriched cultural programming, and expanded digital literacy resources for all ages.

Donations can be made online by visiting the Edison Public Library Foundation page on our website and clicking on Donate to Foundation. You can also support our Buy-a-Book campaign through which you can purchase and dedicate a book in memory or honor of a loved one. Donations can also be made in person and we welcome you to visit any branch to learn more about available naming opportunities within our newly renovated buildings.

Thank you for being a vital part of our library’s future.

We wish you a peaceful holiday season and a happy New Year!

Sincerely,
W. Keith McCoy

Reading to your child has been scientifically shown to have numerous benefits, and the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten was designed to incentivize parents to give their children a head start.

Signing up for 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten is easy to do through our Beanstack program, which also allows you to track the books you’ve read. For every 100 books, parents can earn a virtual badge and also claim a prize from their local Edison Public Library branch.
