For over 35 years, the New Jersey Chapter of the Afro American Historical & Genealogical Society (NJAAHGS) has strived to preserve African ancestral family history, genealogy, and cultural diversity by promoting research and disseminating information throughout the community.
February is Black History Month and, on Monday, February 2, NJAAHGS will host an informative and beginner-friendly workshop designed to help Edison patrons discover the essentials of African American genealogical research.
During the 2:00pm program, practical tips, effective strategies, and key resources to organize your findings, overcome brick walls, and deepen your understanding of your family history will be discussed.
