The Edison Public Library is celebrating Ramadan and Eid with a special storytime and activity led by Aysha Lakhani, author of Alya and the Eid Moon and patrons of all ages are invited to join us at the Main Library on Sunday, February 15 at 2:00pm. 

Alya and her family are preparing for Eid, but there’s one problem - no one has seen the moon yet! Join Alya as she searches for the Eid moon with the help of her family.

Born and raised in Central Jersey, Lakhani loves celebrating holidays, discovering new stories with her daughters, and helping children learn about traditions with wonder and excitement. She is looking forward to sharing Alya’s moon-searching adventure with Edison patrons.

Signing up for 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten is easy to do through our Beanstack program, which also allows you to track the books you’ve read. For every 100 books, parents can earn a virtual badge and also claim a prize from their local Edison Public Library branch.
